Generally speaking, here’s my job arc: I was mostly working at TCU this summer and fall, but I resigned there. I’ve had a few other small gigs but nothing major. I’ve been trying to chase something for 2023 and beyond for a few months now. Here are my resume and cover letter.

In this span, I’ve gotten a bunch of interviews (good), but I think through some combination of excessive applicants (bad), ageism towards me (bad), me maybe not being the best candidate (right thing), and other factors — I’ve got nothing on 12/12. It’s a bit scary. I’ll see what I can do.

Here’s a few of the recent interactions I’ve had with hiring companies, managers, etc. so you know what the universe out there is like.

Razorfish: I was supposed to interview for a “content strategist” role on November 15th. Hiring manager never showed to interview (#ghost) and no context therein.

PlanITROI: Didn’t fully understand their business model, honestly. Did 2–3 interviews with them. Never heard back after that.

PeopleScout: Had three interviews with them. Piped on a “naw, not the right fit” two-line email, with limited context.
