“Woke Fishing” Has A Much Easier Name: “Men Trying To Get Laid.”

Why do we need to adjust all the narratives in modern life?

I love myself a good buzzword, and this morning I came across a new one: “woke fishing.” It is essentially political cat-fishing on dating apps, whereby you lie about your political allegiance in order to get a first in-person date. Normally, as I understand it, a right-leaning male attempts to be progressive and talk about rally-attending and the patriarchy and how he “didn’t vote for Trump” and all that, in order to score a date with a woman who identifies as more liberal. There are other potential pairings, but I think that’s the main avenue of “woke fishing.”

It is covered here:

There are dozens of articles about the concept around the Internet too.

Obviously, this is not new. This has been going on since probably the Neanderthals. What is happening here is that guys are lying in an attempt to get an in-person meeting so that perhaps they will get laid, or at least feel better about themselves…
