Will “IVG” Save Society, Or Cripple It?

The end of infertility may be within 30 years.

There’s a new technology in the fertility game — it’s really more a process than a technology, per se — which is being called “IVG.” That stands for in-vitro gametogenesis, and basically it means custom-making human eggs and sperm in the laboratory from any cell in a person’s body.

I read stuff about this with interest. It may time out poorly for me and my wife, who have been on the infertility train for about three years now, including $30,000 in expenses to have a natural baby and zero results. In related news, I just booked a Holland America cruise to Alaska. I may be pivoting.
