What Got Us Here?

It’s more multi-faceted than just “demon Dems.”

I find root causes of things to be interesting, and while it’s very easy to be trite and generic when discussing the perils of modern living — and we will be, here in a second! — I also think there’s some deeper shit that people seem to miss. We can start with the basics though.

Before we get into headers, however, let’s say this: not the greatest guy in terms of views, no. Kind of a grifter for the attention economy era. But, he built a youth powerhouse and essentially overturned decades of conventional thinking that young women will always be liberal. Trump 2.0 still would have happened without him — aging Biden, bad Kamala candidate, Lina Khan, over-liberal reaction to George Floyd and its aftermath, etc. — but he helped. He was a dad and still very young. Even if you’re a fucking horrible person, you don’t deserve to get neck-shotted in broad daylight and have half the Internet relive the clip periodically.

But how did we get here? Let’s start with the easy stuff.
