What Can We Learn From Porn Actresses?
A little nuance is necessary for this discourse, gentlemen.
I am pretty sure my introduction to Mia Khalifa was that she used to hang out with DeShaun Watson, a NFL QB who has become quite problematic over time. After that, while lonely and perhaps intoxicated one night as an ESPN employee in my Astoria apartment, I looked up a Pornhub scene of her. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as Pornhub goes. Then she became really famous, beyond the nexus of porn, and was somehow a flashpoint for (checks notes) Arab relationships with the rest of the world? I believe several New York Times articles were written about her, which isn’t that impressive on face, but you have to remember that a chunk of two entire generations currently alive get their information from NYT. Since the backside of #MeToo, and the subsequent rise of lots of “red pill” (aka anti-women) content on YouTube, one of the biggest themes has been former porn stars trying to live normal lives, I.e. have babies and all of it, and men online calling their husbands “simps.” The idea is like, OK, your wife has had sex on camera and it’s been viewed millions of times by other guys.
