I moved into the neighborhood behind this church in September of 2020. Been here ever since. Less than a year after I moved, The Washington Post wrote an article about the rise of Trump-tied churches, I.e. Mega-MAGA churches, even though (at the time of the article) Trump had been defeated by Biden. Here’s that article:

I largely ignored the church for the most part for about another 18 months. It was still back-end of COVID, and on Saturdays they had a food bank that sometimes reached 700 cars. Some of my neighbors were annoyed by what that did to ingress and egress for our neighborhood, but it seemed fine to me, especially when people were struggling. In 2021 and 2022, I worked out in a men’s group with the guy who runs their audio/visual, and a few other guys who attend this church also worked out in that group. They all seemed fine. One was a little bit of a douchebag who branded himself as a success when, in reality, he meatrode the coattails of his father’s success, but that’s also a lot
