We Going For Death Penalty On Nicole Virzi, Eh?

This case seems confusing.

To level-set up top, Nicole Virzi was a PhD candidate (PS it’s sometimes spelled “Verzi” by the media) who is accused of “torturing” her friend’s six-week-old baby, who died. Most of the case and the charging documents are outlined here:

This happened outside of Pittsburgh. Now, multiple media reports say her dad is a big swinging dick doctor at Mount Sinai in New York, so I can only assume she’s from New York. Not positive, though, because according to the above link, she got her undergrad at Pepperdine. She could have been an East coast girl who fled to the west coast. Anything’s possible.
