McLaurine Pinover, who would have potentially been having a good week as Auburn (her alma mater) looks solid headed into March Madness, instead had a bad week (kinda), because some people figured out that she was using work time as a comms head for DOGE to post “influencer” videos of her outfits, often from her office. Now, normally this shit wouldn’t or shouldn’t matter, and most of us have (or know people who have) fucked around during the workday, because white-collar workdays are not as hard as you think.

It kinda is a big deal, though, for various reasons:

  1. Logistically, I believe she works for OPM, or Office of Personnel Management. Because that department was handed over to the main guy who helped write Project 2025, it’s basically just a MAGA extension, and where a lot of DOGE is rooted. (Imagine typing that sentence in 2016.)
  2. She is posting these videos while she’s justifying the layoffs of thousands.
  3. She’s posting many of these videos from her office and on work time, which hardly seems like the mentality Elon always pushes when he talks about lazy federal workers, beast mode, hyper-focus, and criticizes other young women with federal jobs who have posted TikToks during the day.
