The Sick Bullshit That Is — Job Scams

Time was, the biggest “job scam” was a company posting a role that didn’t exist to prove growth to investors, and you running in circles thinking “Oh man, I’d be perfect for that one.” Obviously there were other job scams circulating, but that was the big one that touched a lot of people. That, and payment not being rendered for services provided. It’s easier (relatively) to sue about lack of payment.

Now, there’s a whole slate of digital job scams, as discussed a bit on CBS today:

It is kinda funny that a white-collar stiff from LinkedIn did this segment, because LinkedIn basically does almost nothing to protect its users, so long as the line seems up and to the right for Microsoft (their parent).
