The Question Of Nine And General Managerial Ineptitude

Oh, the CEO of Bumble has a theory?

I got this from a Sahil Bloom newsletter:

He’s talking about Whitney Wolfe, who founded Bumble. I think she might have also co-founded Tinder, but I’m not sure. She’s made a lot of money off romantic desperation, that’s for sure.

She has a “Question of Nine,” which is:

Whenever she is faced by a decision, she asks herself: Will this matter in nine minutes, nine hours, nine days, nine weeks, nine months, or nine years?

First thing you need to realize here is that literally every CEO and founder, even those from unsuccessful companies, has some “theory” or “principle” that they love to tell media hacks about. A lot of it is complete bullshit and you can take it with a grain of salt. This one isn’t bad, though.

I think you can probably knock out the “nine years” thing. No one knows what’s going to happen in…
