I did F3 Nation — peer-led men’s workout group — pretty hardcore for about 10–11 months from late summer ’21 to probably mid-summer ’22. I mostly liked it a lot; at some point, I might go back to it. I kinda got “forced out” of it for a lot of bullshit-y reasons, some of which are my fault. I was writing emails for the local group I was in, and some people didn’t like some of the jokes in the emails. I can’t link any of the emails anymore because I deleted that account, but I would use subject lines like “Tanglewood Moms vs. Aledo Moms” (two affluent areas) and people would lose their minds over it. I also commented and posted a decent amount on my group’s Slack channel. Some was drunken ramblings, which I regret. Some was just dumb. (Same.) A lot was pretty informative and tried to organize workout gaps and workout leaders, but the former stuff overwhelmed the latter stuff. I may be the first person to get kicked out of F3. I’m not honestly sure.

It’s a great organization overall but if you’re kicking tires on it, you need to consider the pros and cons of it. I’ll try to do that here:
