The MAGA Double Standard

A bunch to list, but let’s just try Michelle Obama.

If you had to find a MAGA guy (not an actual Republican, but a dyed-in-the-wool MAGA dude) and ask him his most hated people of the last 10 or so years, I would actually (and sadly) think a lot of women would top the list. Hilary and/or Pelosi would be the №1 spot without any question, but some combination of Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, and AOC might be in the 2–3 spots. I have heard more than one person who is very Trump-y call Michelle Obama “an ape.” If you scroll Twitter long enough, you will find a few guys trying to “trans-vestigate” her, I.e. determine she’s a man. It is all varying degrees of absolutely ridiculous.

So, as you might have heard, Michelle Obama is skipping the January 20th inaugural of Trump 2.0. As of about 45 minutes before I opened Medium to write this, Pelosi is also skipping it.

This sorts us neatly into two camps, those being:

1. “These women have the right blueprint for Trump 2.0, which is to ignore him and not get caught up in the hate streams.”
2. “These women are disgusting traitors to our country and sore losers, and that’s typical of the libs.”
