Sobriety, Day 60: “You’re A Self-Loathing Alcoholic.”
I just realized a few days ago that, if my ex and I had lasted, my 10th wedding anniversary would be in two weeks (March 16, 2013). Instead, my third wedding anniversary with a different person will be this October. I got divorced in March 2017. If you followed all those sentences, March is a very seminal month for me in some ways. Today is March 1 of a new year, and it’s also the 60th day of chasing some semblance of sobriety day-in, day-out.
I’ve been trying to reflect on some drinking experiences since I started this journey. Here’s a couple I’ve hit so far:
