Parents Buy Into The Trauma Moment Too Much, Unfortunately
The anxiety of parents is a much bigger problem than “the phones.”
As Jonathan Haidt keeps making the rounds on his new book, we get more and more “content” around parenting (cc: Parenting in Motion) and “the phones” (cc: iPhone) and general teenage mental health and anguish and “Sheesh, who can we blame already?” Into that comes this article:
That article, written by a mental health provider for college kids at Boston University, isn’t bad overall. Near the end, you get this paragraph, which I would say is pretty accurate:
