OK, Maybe Young Guys Didn’t “Lean Right” That Much — Buuuutt…..

… maybe Democrats just kept youth on the couch.

Because I currently have a job where I need to be online and available from 8am to 4pm, but some aspects of the job are “hurry up and wait," I am somewhat chronically-online, in that I see and read a lot of things while hurrying up and waiting. I thought I understood most of the “takes” about the 2024 Presidential election, but lo and behold, yesterday I found a new one. It is contained within this video, which is mostly about Kamala Harris potentially losing because of Gaza:

If you look at the screenshot for this post, you can see what is happening. Basically, there is a narrative that Trump got young men to move right, in part because he did Rogan, Theo Von, Andrew Schultz, etc. I am sure that narrative is true, and he did create a bro brigade because of suggestions from Barron. However, it’s not as true as we think — and the real story seems to be that Democrats couldn’t match previous or expected youth turnout. Trump did barely better among 18–29 year-olds, but Kamala…
