Money | Power | Pleasure | Fame: What Owns You, Son?

This is the key question.

I got more into Sahil Bloom’s newsletter of late. Here is the latest one. I am not sure what to make of this guy. He says all the right stuff about prioritizing family and kid time and whatnot, but he’s also clearly some type of hustler and he’s off meeting with Arthur Brooks of happiness and The Atlantic fame, so I dunno. Maybe he ain’t walking the walk. Not my particular rodeo, I guess.

• Money
• Power
• Pleasure
• Fame

I cannot possibly break down 330 million Americans (many of whom barely know these words yet) into percentage buckets, but I would guess all four have a following in America. I’d assume money is №1, potentially even moreso with inflationary + recessionary conditions simultaneously…
