Laura Caron Did A Bad Thing
Laura Caron was a teacher in New Jersey. Actually, semantically she still is a teacher in New Jersey, because I believe right now she’s on paid administrative leave. What had happened was, she was teaching fifth grade and had a student she took a liking to. There might have been some stuff going on at said student’s home, because for a portion of the period 2017–2020, this student and one sibling and one apparently half-sibling were periodically living with Laura, I.e. apart from their partners. In court documents, she even had a title of a custodial non-parent, etc.
Instead of being supportive to said boy during all this, or maybe “being supportive” in a weirdly-defined way, she started sleeping with him. She actually got pregnant by him when he was 12 and she was 28, and she had the baby, and told people “the dad was out of the picture” (aren’t they always?) and even threw herself a baby shower. The baby is now a toddler, and she was posting pics of it on FB/IG, and the father of the abused boy noticed it and apparently commented, “Whoa, that looks like (name of my son).” Stuff spiraled from there.
