Kathryn Restelli Also, Ya Know, Could Have Gotten A Divorce…

… instead she conspired with her mom and brother to kill him by luring him to Utah. What’s up with people?

Ms. Restelli was married to a guy named Matthew. They lived in Temecula, which is mostly considered a “good money” area. The relationship was toxic and it became estranged. Kathryn went back to American Fork, Utah with three kids — I believe they shared all the kids, but might have only shared the youngest two — and her, her mom, and her brother concocted a plan to kill the husband, as opposed to, ya know, simply just getting a divorce and living in a different state and attempting to work out some type of summer share with dad.

The plan worked in that they did successfully kill Matthew, but it backfired in every other way. They lured him to a house in Utah — initially he sent her money from California for her to drive the kids back to California, thinking a reconciliation was possible, but she claimed they (“they”) weren’t “letting her” rent a car — and the brother shot him. Then, the mom had a good idea. YAY! She took a knife and placed it in Matthew’s hand, so that her son (Kathryn’s brother) could claim “self-defense.”
