If The Lindsay Clancy Case Goes To A Trial, It’ll Be “Treatment Of New Moms” On Trial

If you are unfamiliar with the basic case of Lindsay Clancy, she’s a mom in Massachusetts. It seems her husband might have even worked for Microsoft. They had three kids. In late January, she killed all three children in the basement of their home, using athletic stretching bands. The case is now receiving national attention around post-partum anxiety (PPA) and post-partum psychosis (PPP).

Yesterday she appeared for what was essentially a bail hearing in a hospital bed, and periodically you could see a law enforcement officer over her right shoulder. It was eerie:

Why is she in the hospital? Because after killing her children, she jumped out of their home’s second-story window, attempting to kill herself. That attempt was unsuccessful.
