“If I Can’t Have Them, Neither Can You.”
Jason Karels was some schlub guy in Illinois, in a random suburb of Chicago. I believe he was potentially a waiter or an assistant manager at a seafood restaurant. Along the way, he did manage to trade up romantically and get with someone named either Debbie or Debby (seen it spelled both ways), who in my personal opinion is significantly more attractive than him. They had three kids in their journey of life together, across seven-eight years. Purportedly, as things were going south, she cheated on him (a tsk tsk, absolutely), and the cheating spiraled things further and eventually it led to a divorce. The divorce came with different weekends for each parent, and on one of his weekends, Jason drowned his three children, left them on an upstairs bed, wrote his wife a note about how much he tried to love her and wasn’t successful, and then led police on a high-speed car chase for 18 minutes.
