If Anyone Will Shiv J.D. Vance, It’ll Be Donny’s Son
We have no clue what will happen in the next four years, and honestly given his age, we don’t even know if Trump will make a full four years (he seems viable but who knows what we don’t hear or see). As of right this second, I would assume most logical people expect that J.D. Vance will be the Republican front-runner in 2028. I am sure that was the main thought on both J.D. and Usha Vance’s minds during parts of a very long Monday.
Now, again, we know nothing about where the moral and political zeitgeist will go. I could see Vance win the Presidency in a rout, but I could also see him lose to a Democrat, and I could also see him get primary’ed on the right by a bunch of people.
See, if there is a Republican criticism of J.D. Vance, it’s pretty simple: he is not Trump and lacks the Trump energy and the delicate balance of being a bully and a victim at the same time. In other words, it’s very hard to imagine people charging the U.S. Capitol with “Vance” signs. He just doesn’t inspire the same in the base.
But you know who is biologically similar to Trump?
His son.
