I was just eating some pistachios and trying to learn about the particulars of a new industry I am doing some work with, and I came across this YouTube clip:

It’s with this guy Spencer Klavan, who seems to have recently written a book called How to Save the West. It gets a little pseudo-intellectual and esoteric pretty fast; the first few minutes are good, but I assume people would dump out before the end. Maybe I’m wrong.

It does make a generally good point that in the decline of formal, organized religion — it seems like identity has become the de facto new religion.

I write about a lot of different topics, from work to masculinity to relationships and social dynamics, I.e. modern friendship. Pleasure to be here.
