Does Anyone Really Have Justification To “Judge” Others?

No. But we all do it, myself unfortunately included.

Here’s the 9:30am sermon from my particular church yesterday:

That’s a long clip, but in general the sermon is about these topics:

  • Judging others
  • Processing shifting societal mores
  • Realizing that the quality of you as a human being is not tied to zip code or how good your last quarter was, but how you show up for people
  • Relationship with God/Jesus

I’m a spiritual and faithful person but I am not a big Bible-thumper dude. I don’t even really know many of the core passages aside from maybe the stuff you traditionally read on Christmas Eve or Easter. That said, I go a lot across the last five years and I try to be an active member of the church community. I will say my particular church leans a bit affluent, so I am not sure Bullet №3 above always resonates for everyone in attendance. But I like the fact that we keep trying the message, if nothing else.

I write about a lot of different topics, from work to masculinity to relationships and social dynamics, I.e. modern friendship. Pleasure to be here.
