Could We Ever Get Straight Numbers On Parental Regret?
Absolutely not. But there’s an interesting subtext to it all.
Before we go any further, the short answer is: No, you can never get true data on parental regret. It is not something that people are honest about. You could look at school shooters and Child Protective Services cases in a given area, and that would help you maybe scratch the surface on “OK, there’s probably some parental regret here…” but it wouldn’t be conclusive or purposeful as a “data exercise,” no.
