If you were born in 2004, you’re probably turning 19 this year (#math), and depending on who your specific mom is, there’s a relatively good chance that a lot of your childhood was essentially live-blogged on first Facebook, then Instagram, and perhaps finally TikTok, although if your now late-40something mom is on TikTok, that’s potentially even a deeper concern. The EU has been better about child-posting rights for years than America has, but America may slowly be catching up.
