Breaking: Mom Of Three Manipulates Social Media Photos

One of the better “Who cares?” stories of the year (already).

Up front and most obviously, it’s a non-story because virtually every mother of three that I’ve either (a) met or (b) know anecdotally will regularly manipulate or adjust photos of their family. The why is complicated and diverse, but at its core, moms realize motherhood is identity and motherhood has also become some vague Olympic sport for many, so in order to impress the Albanian judge (code for Shirley, down the street on the left), you need to maximize your photo-sharing too. Hence, moms manipulate photos. I think only-child moms do it too, but there’s a specific air(e?) around moms-of-three, honestly.
