Let’s try to lay this out as best we can.

I think we broadly know that there’s been about a 20–25 year “engagement crisis” in American workplaces. I am not sure executives care even remotely about this, because the profits during that time in some industries have been gargantuan, but it’s out there and people at Gallup keep getting organic PR hits for discussing it.

Alright, so that’s Step 1. We have this engagement crisis, and now we’re adding new terms to the grist/mill for it, including Great Resignation, Great Reset, Quiet Quitting, Quiet Hiring, Lonely Layoffs, etc, etc. It’s…
