Ban The Damn Phones From The Damn Schools

Like any good rational liberal who is online too much, I like me some Jonathan Haidt. He has a new book coming out next week, about the anxiety of current young people (which, yes, seems true), and on his promotion tour for said book, he’s doing the requisite hits, including — GASP! — Joe Rogan, which I think maybe strips Haidt of his liberal bonafides. If you don’t know who Haidt is, he co-wrote Coddling of the American Mind and has been a big advocate for data around how much we’re screwing up current kids with tech. One of the new elements he’s pushing more, that I can only assume is in this book big-time, is the banning of phones in schools. He brings it up in this tweet:
