Alex Cooper And The Ballad Of Complacency Sex

A non-story, except for the STD part perhaps.

Alex Cooper, who probably would have been the “Hawk Tuah” girl in a parallel universe but instead has a $125M podcast licensing deal with Sirius now, was in “the news” recently because she told a long, winding story on her popular "Call Her Daddy” show. The story basically goes like this:

  • She met a dude online.
  • He offered to fly her to Paris and they could indulge in that city in an AirBNB.
  • She flew out there and he wasn’t attractive or personable.
  • She still stayed a week and had sex with him multiple times.
  • He gave her an STD.
  • She also, I believe, recently got married and talked on her show about how her husband was OK with the STD.

Not a lot, but some stuff to unpack here, so let’s try.

White male grievance: There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that drives white male grievance more than the combination of “a woman you want to sleep with” + “they achieve economic success or fame” + “you think their message sucks (but you still want to bang them).” This is the same intersection that AOC usually resides at. So, guys like Matt Walsh need to go off on how this says something about…
