A Quick Open Letter To The Social Media Mavens On Christmas

It’s not, and never will be, all about you.

Whether you celebrate Christmas itself or just celebrate “the holidays” or another specific holiday, it tends to be a nice, generally-relaxed (except for planning), less-work-focused, familial time of year. And that’s usually awesome.

But in your life, you probably know at least one person who is celebrating their first holiday season without a loved one, i.e. mom, dad, a pet, etc.

If you’re between 25 and 45, I bet you know someone who expected to have a child at this season and doesn’t.

People should obviously celebrate their joy and put forth the beauty of their families, their decorations, their vacations, their surrounding decor, their spread, etc. No doubt. If you want to do it, you should do it.

But also just remember that it’s not the easiest season for everyone, or someone could have a great run of holidays and then have a crappy one, and in addition to showcasing your chateau, maybe send that person a quick text.
